The High Strung è una band americana di Detroit, Michigan, Stati Uniti. Il gruppo è composto dai cantanti e chitarristi Josh Malerman e Mark Owen, dal chitarrista Stephen Palmer, dal bassista Chad Stocker e dal batterista Derek Berk. Malerman, Berk e Owen hanno frequentato la Michigan State University alla fine degli anni ’90 prima di trasferirsi a New York City. La band si formò a Williamsburg, Brooklyn, quando i membri dell’ex band di East Lansing, Michigan, The Masons, cambiarono il loro nome e aggiunsero Stocker al roster. Owen lasciò la band nel 2005 e ritornò nel 2016. Palmer si è unito al gruppo poco dopo la registrazione di Dragon Dicks all’inizio del 2010.
